Albert Handell Mentorship Program: Day Three
Both of my paintings kinda flopped on the third day of the mentorship program...not sure what happened. They were excellent learning tools though! The sun was super bright and I got a little crazy with my colors. Like I said, everything took on an abstract quality in the New Mexican air. Plein Air is very interesting because the light shifts very quickly. If you are used to a model in the studio with fixed lighting, imagine painting by the light of a disco ball...you must be quick, very quick. Regardless, I am so happy to be painting, to be outside in the gorgeous weather and to be learning from a master!
